Amazing written work about Sen. Obama's life
This books is so well written and compelling- and it was done BEFORE he was a US Senator, while he was the Editor of the Harvard Law Review.

Not very far into it but I managed to fall asleep while reading it at work and drooled all over my desk. Not necessarily saying anything bad about the book, just saying.. that's my experience so far :)

Because this was written after Obama graduated law school, but before he started his political career, it caries a voice that is much less guarded than one typically expects from a modern day politician. I don't know why any of my friends would think I would like this book. I hate anything written by political people. The books are generally tripe with a few well chosen historical quotes, stolen from venerable sources.
