which one is the most stupid movie you have ever seen before...?

you know, there're so many good movies in this beautiful world, they gave people dreams and happy hours.
but, there're also many stupid movies, always prepare to make people feel bad...
so, would you please just tell us which is the most stupid one you have ever seen before, and why,
then, you could save other people...
thanks for your help...

Two of the worst movies I am embarrassed to even admit to seeing are "Sasquatch" and "Blood Thirst": we rented and watched them expecting them to be funny-bad, but they are both unwatchable. They should not even have made it onto store shelves.

Leah | Jul 1, 2007 Report abuse

"Constantine" by Francis Lawrence. Really nonsense!

smeraldonero | Jul 1, 2007 Report abuse

Usually most of the experimental films are nonsense and thus successfully leading me to be dozy. But fortunately most of them are easily identified before you get into the cinema. Recently, however, a Hong Kong film named as "Ming Ming"(明明) evaded my identifcation and appeared to be a commercial film, or a hybrid of commerical/artistic/experimental film at least. Actually that is a badly finished experimental film!! It just like an experimental formula of bad shampoo, causing great suffering of my eyes T_T

GermanKong | Jul 1, 2007 Report abuse

Mary Antoinette by Soffia Coppola, I would have to say.
Although I personally love Kirsten Dunst and Coppola, I actually dozed off while I was watching it.

Max | Jul 2, 2007 Report abuse

Basic Instinct.
I would give it one "star" out of 4 though, to give credit to the unreserved and super-devoted effort demonstrated by Sharon Stone & Michael Douglas.

Leona | Jul 2, 2007 Report abuse

The Italian Job. Unfortunately, because I really love Edward Norton, but this is the worst film ever (and I HATE Mark Whalberg!).

Claire N. | Jul 2, 2007 Report abuse

Korea movie.
I see many stupid movie from Korea.
but some is good.

paddy | Jul 2, 2007 Report abuse

It's a hard choice ^^
well, here are some of the worst moves I have ever seen
Timeline - by Richard Donner
Tele of the mummy - by Russell Mulcahy starring Jason Scott Lee
Closer - by Mike Nichols starring Julia Roberts and Jude Law

MiciaRicc | Jul 2, 2007 Report abuse

Meet Joe Black - It's very long and boring. Wasted my time.

Ingrid | Jul 5, 2007 Report abuse

Without any doubt "Breakfast at Tiffany's". The most inutile movie i have ever seen. The script is simply ridicoluos!!! And the book is worst!!!

Believer | Jul 5, 2007 Report abuse

I'd have to say Signs. Aliens that die upon contact with water? What the hell? Why would they invade Earth (which is full of water) in the first place? People who don't swear after the movie must have slept through it.

Holmes | Jul 5, 2007 Report abuse

Calvaire. It's just... absolutely horrible, with the weird knock off Deliverance vibe, and the dancing and the what-not. I really wanted to die while I watched it. Or at the very least scratch out my retinas. It was without a doubt the worst thing I've ever seen in my life. Followed closely by the remake of the Wicker Man... Yuck!

Lulu | Jul 5, 2007 Report abuse

War of The Worlds, it was just as bad as Signs. The most important direct nowadays as Steven Spielberg can really surprise you sometime.

糖果牛奶魚 | Aug 8, 2007 Report abuse

What about trash-declared Scary movies? They are really disgusting.

SkizoFreeNik | Aug 8, 2007 Report abuse

I quote Ingrid:Meet Joe Black: it's a lung, and boring nightmare

zia fed zeppelin | Aug 8, 2007 Report abuse

I would say Austin Powers...I couldn't laugh and even smile throughout the whole movie!

Shirley Liao | Aug 8, 2007 Report abuse

La leggenda del pianista sull'oceano(The legend of 1900) is as long and boring as Meet Joe Black!

Verons | Aug 8, 2007 Report abuse

Sweet november it is.

book cat | Aug 8, 2007 Report abuse

Hard to choose... I watch so many bad movies as a hobby, but among the many "so bad it's not even funny" I'd say Jaws 4.

A descendant of the shark in Jaws who goes into a revenge rampage and follows Martin Brody's wife from New England to the Bahamas (she's flying in a plane)?!?! Are you guys mental?!?!

Avoid at all costs.

Turboronin | Aug 16, 2007 Report abuse

Believer@ I love Breakfast at Tiffany's! Why don't you like it?It's sparkling and delicate, romantic but not pathetic. :-)
The most stupid movie ... it may be American pie. Ciao

Ilaevin | Aug 19, 2007 Report abuse

"The Village", expecting to watch a horror movie with monster/haunted ghost in a village but ended up seeing an old man pretending the monster in a ridiculous Halloween outfit that u have no idea on why ppl would be scared by that.

ilaevin, i love Breakfast at Tiffany's too, cheers.

fishy | Aug 24, 2007 Report abuse

Too many, but your choice of "Signs" and "Village" reminded me of yet another one by Night Shyamalan--"Lady in the Water", probably the most stupid movie I've seen in the last two years.

tno | Aug 24, 2007 Report abuse

"Mystic River" by Clint Eastwood, too obvious...

ferbo | Aug 24, 2007 Report abuse

You may not have liked it but come on , listing "breakfast a Tiffany's" as the "most stupid movie you ever seen "...
Dumb and Dumber anyone ?

Stefietokee | Aug 27, 2007 Report abuse

"Scary Movie "by David Zucker
It is high-flown and common

Lil | Aug 28, 2007 Report abuse

Zodiac.....I bet many people haven't even heard about it!! Really stupid~~!!

Ashley | Aug 30, 2007 Report abuse

Personally I liked The Legend of 1900. Lately the stupidest movie I've seen is "Blood and Chocolate". It's done by the same people who put out the Underworld films. Maybe it's ok if you haven't read the book, but if you have the movie will make you want to slap someone very hard for ever making this piece of crap.

Zhye | Aug 30, 2007 Report abuse

The most recent scarred memory would be "Evan Almighty". Terrible. Expensive to produce and with horribly scripted dialogue that isn't at all funny.

Jo | Sep 1, 2007 Report abuse

Must be "Borat - Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan" --- disgusting, racist and stupid!!!!! Come on, washing face in a toilet bowl? I mean, what's the point of making fun of another culture?

Absolute waste of time and money. I could not even finish the whole movie. Really disgusting!!!!

I hate Austin Powers too. Why do people find it funny??? If you like british spy movies from the sixties, why don't you watch one? They're MUCH funnier!

eerkmans | Jan 29, 2008 Report abuse

For sure HOUSE OF THE DEAD, the film based on the video game.. the worst film ever!!!

Mr. Valvassori | Feb 5, 2008 Report abuse

Sweet November - it took me three separate attempts to finish watching the movie!!

vicki | Feb 6, 2008 Report abuse

Stardust.

Grace | Feb 10, 2008 Report abuse

Mona Lisa Smile, of Mike Newell. Terrible.

Xiloforo | Mar 5, 2008 Report abuse

I have to say:
"The Blair Witch Project"

What a joke! Such waste of time!

The so-called movie has no purpose, no story plot, no entertainment value!!!

Irish Cream Latte | Mar 6, 2008 Report abuse

The Blair Witch Project is sucks, I agree with you!

Dubwoman | Mar 7, 2008 Report abuse

Probably "Borat" of Sacha Baron Coen.

Giok91 | Mar 30, 2008 Report abuse

Lady in Water+1.
The Wicker Man. I was fooled into watching it because it starred Nicholas Cage. Such a waste of time!

Ammit | Mar 30, 2008 Report abuse

too much

J | Mar 31, 2008 Report abuse

I hate "Open Water", it's just a waste of time. I hoped the sharks did their job fast.
And I hate the "Lords of the rings" too long and too boring. Gollum, was the best characte, because he wanted to kill the whole company!

Elena Radcliffe91 | Jul 15, 2008 Report abuse

Londi | Jul 22, 2008 Report abuse

hi everyone! I read the discussion... I think taht The forgotten, War of the worlds, Stardust, MonaLisa smile, Breakfast at Tiffany's, and above all Meet Joe Black are all very good films!
The most stupid film I have ever seen is surely Borat.

FrAnCiUz!!! | Sep 19, 2008 Report abuse

The most stupid movie i have ever seen is absolutely Dogma. Could anybody tell me the meaning of it?? I can't believe that someone mentioned Breakfast at Tiffany's.. it's one of my favourite, so tender and so romantic!!

Pinkfrancy | Oct 8, 2008 Report abuse

"Scary Movie" and its sequels, "Meet the Spartans", etc.

@Pinkfrancy
"Dogma" was a Catholic's attempt to poke fun at the Catholic Church. There are a lot of in-jokes, etc. that would only make sense to a Catholic or someone really familiar with that denomination.

@Ashley
May I ask what's wrong with "Zodiac"? :) I thought it captured the time and the feeling quite well.

little Alex | Dec 3, 2008 Report abuse

Should be 千機變 - 花都大戰

The story just like scrap, both actors & actresses lack of acting skills, it seems they were just playing but not performing as an professional actor.

Fortunately, this is a free movie of my Cable TV movie channel and I would not pay for this kind of movies for sure !

Ngaisze | Dec 20, 2008 Report abuse

史前一萬年 - 10000 B.C

WHAT A SUCK MOVIE !

阿草(dysile13) | Dec 25, 2008 Report abuse

also,
黃金羅盤/The Golden Compass
生存遊戲/Stay Alive
奇幻精靈事件簿/The Spiderwick Chronicles
曼哈頓奇緣/Enchanted
移動世界(時空駭客)/jumper

thoose are really awful in their plots.

阿草(dysile13) | Dec 25, 2008 Report abuse

dysile13,
well, since "The Golden Compass" was adapted from the book, anything that's wrong with the plot really isn't the fault of the movie... that said, may I ask what's wrong with it? :)

little Alex | Dec 27, 2008 Report abuse

TO Alex,
I haven't read the serious of books.
So I just wrote the ranking according to what I have seen in this movie.

When I watched this movie, each scenes were arranged in few seconds with suspicious development. I couldn't figure out why the army composed by gypsies, pirates or anything else appeared so accidently in the crucial moment and fought the enemy. Or why the woman stared by Nicole Kidman needed to hit her monkey (spirits?elf?),etc.
The movie is really hard for audiences to realize what happened after watched it.
I thought every movie should show their independence (especially when it has the continuation), they shouldn’t last a lot of foreshadows to audience and expect we to find the answer by ourselves from the origin book.

阿草(dysile13) | Dec 28, 2008 Report abuse

dysile13,

Hm, I agree that the gypsies showing up was a little deus ex machina, but I'd say that your second question was already answered at the beginning of the movie, when it was talking about daemons and their relationship with humans.

I know, it's just a movie and it shouldn't require so much attention, but I think that's a problem quite common to movies adapted from books.

I mean, I'm pretty sure the Harry Potter movies really don't make as much sense to the people who haven't read the HP books... Not every movie adapted from a book can be as independent as Peter Jackson's LOTR trilogy.
