M Obiora has just one book in his helf..the one he wrote by himself..

Wow. That makes D. R. Polsz's promotion of his own books seem subtle.

The fact that Mr. Obiora is the only one who has this book on shelf makes it pretty obvious that no, no one here has read The Book...

It raises an interesting question though: it is legitimate - or fair, or cheating, or just plainly annoying - to promote your own products through social networks like these?

Personally, I feel that since Anobii is not intended for marketing purposes, it should not be used that way.

Then again, if someone has just written a novel, finds an audience that he thinks might actually appreciate his book, what harm is there in pointing it out to them, saying 'Hey, I've written a book, you might like it, if you want you can check it out.' Not much, I presume. (Obviously, if your message is as confusing as that of M. Obiora, this will not work.)

I'm curious to know what you think of this.
