A solid book and a decent try, after nine years, at bringing back the series. It wasn't as exciting as the previous books, however, and the characters felt a little off. A solid book and a decent try, after nine years, at bringing back the series. It wasn't as exciting as the previous books, however, and the characters felt a little off. And the dragon child felt too much like Tehanu from Le Guin's Earthsea stories. After such anticipation, I'm sad to say that the Tamir Triad was better.
Nonetheless, I did enjoy the book and the return of my beloved characters. And it's interesting to see Seregil's reaction to people in his past popping up again.
