A book that 'pierced my soul'
I read 'Persuasion' as a young woman in high school, re-read it whilst at university, and have just finished listening to it (yep, audiobook). Although this is not my favourite Austen novel, I really like it because it is undoubtedly the most bitters...Continua

Dopo averlo riletto online su www.gutenberg.com, confermo le 4 stelline. Non è all'altezza di Emma o di Orgoglio e pregiudizio, ma è un'ottimo romanzo, e considerato anche che è stato pubblicato dopo la morte dell'autrice, avrebbe potuto forse rifini...Continua

Questo è il terzo romanzo che leggo della Austen, in ordine dopo Orgoglio e pregiudizio e Ragione e sentimento, tra i tre lo metterei al secondo posto. Sinceramente mi aspettavo molto di più, più romanticismo e suspance alla Mr. Darcy con Elisabeth B...Continua

Not one of my favourites, but I found the relationship between the story and Austen's own life extremely interesting. Maybe less entertaining when you read it, however it leaves you a lot to think about.
