Funny, tender, melancholic, real - a great novel about the difficult time of becoming an adult.
Humour inglese allo stato puro. Brian, studente insicuro del proprio aspetto fisico e del proprio status sociale, arriva in una esclusiva università inglese grazie al suo ottimo profitto scolastico. E qui si scontra con l'amore, nelle vesti di una bellissima, popolarissima, aristocratica compagna (ma non altrettanto simpatica). Brian è ovviamente adorabile, e le sue avventure esilaranti.
Mi sono divertita immensamente, anzi confesso che mi sono davvero sganasciata.
Consigliatissimo, che dico, obbligatorio.
Non racconterò la fine di questa storia, dirò solo che ho provato tanta vergogna per lui...

Amazing. This book just brought me back to my teenage years, and it was SO amazing reading my same thoughts in it that I can't help reading it while smiling. Cunny, clever, funny, and SO true.
David Nicholls is able to find a piece of everybody in each character, and get you involved in the story as it was your story. It happens with Starter for Ten as it happened for One Day.
Two books so different but with the same soul, spirit. They are alive, like good books always are.
