QUATTRO STELLE PER IL GIALLO, TRE PER IL NOIR
La trama è veramente intrigante ed avvincente. La curiosità di arrivare alla soluzione è forte e la conclusione è logica e senza sbavature. Allora perché quattro e non cinque stelle? Perché la storia si regge sul presupposto che siano passati otto anni prima di iniziare le indagini del protagonista. Perché aspettare 8 anni? Perché non 6 mesi? Questo serve solo a rendere il mistero più difficile da districare: quindi è un mezzuccio che costa una stella.
Il noir è da fumetto, con incluso supereroe alla Hulk, ma cattivo. Tutta New York è seminata da cimici e centinaia di hackers sono all’instancabile opra. Nonché killers a gogo. Tre stelle bastano ed avanzano.
Peccato: la trama meritava un miglior svolgimento
Un thriller dal tono leggero (tra i meno cupi che io abbia mai letto), ma molto vivace e veloce.
Nulla di eccezionale, comunque.
Another by this author that I have really enjoyed. I'm not sure if I'm just getting the hang of Harlan Coben's writing style or if this book was more obvious, but I had the ending pretty well figured out ahead of time, which was a slight bummer because to be hit with those last page twists is so much fun. But either way, I still liked this book.
