i love works where the main character is a child in his/her grand parents' house, during the first half of the 20th c.

As with all Eco's novel's, this is a treat, but particularly the second half was very unsettling and gave me nightmares.

Interesting and beautiful at times. Overall though, requires patience and dedication to finish. I much prefered The Name Of The Rose.
